Are you finding difficulties in cleaning your blinds?
Tips For Cleaning Roller Blinds
The general care of your window treatments is not too time-consuming or difficult, which is good news for your health and wellness. A clean home means a healthy home, and I have never heard someone complain about being healthy or clean. While most people do not purposefully live in an unhealthy environment, it happens more often than one may originally think. Something as simple as deep cleaning the blinds and curtains every other month can improve the air quality in the home, which makes it a healthier place to live. Therefore, without further ado, here are some quick tips for cleaning roller blinds so you can make the move toward a healthier home.
General Blind Care
Dust
Roller blinds are one of the easiest blinds to dust frequently. Dusting once a week is a good habit. To dust roller blinds, use a feather duster or damp cloth to wipe down the surface. Do not forget to dust both sides of the roller blind.
Vacuum
After dusting the blinds, you may notice that the window sill or track is dirty, too. Get the vacuum cleaner and run the hose extension along the sill to clean the remaining dirt particles.
Detergent
Is there a particular spot on the roller blind that is not dust but another stain? To remove a tougher stain from the roller blinds, use a small bit of detergent and water. This works on just about every roller blind fabric, but test the solution on a hidden area of the blind first to be safe.
Professional
As mentioned earlier, it is recommended to get your blinds and curtains professionally cleaned every other year. There are many local dry cleaners who specialize in window treatment care.
